Brent Finlay boasts over 40 years of experience in the agricultural sector, managing his sheep and cattle property, Cooinda, in South East Queensland’s Traprock region. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Finlay Agricultural Industries, providing strategic advice to a broad range of agricultural enterprises and projects. Brent’s leadership roles include former President of the National Farmers Federation and Agforce Queensland, and a board member of the World Farm Organisation representing Oceania. His negotiation skills have been pivotal in addressing key issues like trade agreements and policy developments across multiple countries. Recently, Brent has chaired significant water projects like the Emu Swamp Dam and Bowen Pipeline project. He is also actively engaged in the renewable energy sector, not only hosting a large wind farm on his land but also advising landholder clients in negotiations with major energy infrastructure companies. As a senior advisor to RELA, Brent is driven by a commitment to ensure landowners succeed in Australia’s transition to renewable energy.
