Katie-Anne Mulder

Queensland Renewable Energy Council

Katie-Anne has over 15 years’ experience in industry development and policy. Working at both the Federal and State levels of Government, Katie-Anne has a deep understanding of policy development and pathways to implement and review. Katie-Anne’s expertise in setting leading practice regulatory frameworks, coupled with a passion for industry development and regional Queensland, provides the skillset required to deliver an ambitious industry policy work plan.  

Katie-Anne has experience in the development and growth of industry associations through the Queensland Exploration Council, a sister industry association of the Queensland Resources Council. Katie-Anne managed the day-to-day operations which included allocation of resourcing, management of the Board, delivering government funded programs and overall accountability to members to deliver an investment and promotion focused work program on budget and on time.  

For over a decade, Katie-Anne also led the peak Queensland resources industry body, Queensland Resources Council, industry policy portfolio charged with finding solutions to complex industry issues relating to large scale developments. Some examples include leading the coal and coal seam gas member negotiations for an industry standardised co-development arrangement, Statewide assessment and reporting of local government rates and charges of the industry, the industry’s streamlining assessment and approvals agenda, reforms on objection and appeals of resource projects, the industry proposal for the Queensland Critical Mineral Strategy including securing funding for Townsville Critical Mineral Processing Facility as well as land access and coexistence reform initiatives.
