As Acting Deputy Director-General, Agriculture within the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Elton leads the development of policies, research, development and extension, and initiatives that enhance the productivity, profitability and sustainability of Queensland’s agribusinesses.

Elton has an extensive background in policy development and service delivery, coupled with a strong industry development focus.

With more than 30 years of public sector experience in both State and Commonwealth and a background in farming, Elton has a strong passion for agriculture and rural communities.
