Pippa Jones

Nuffield Scholar, Farmer

Pippa Jones lives on her farm near Goondiwindi, Queensland with her husband and two young sons. She splits her time between running the farm with her husband and working as an extension officer with the Southern Qld Northern NSW Innovation Hub. Pippa brings significant experience working with farmers throughout NSW and Queensland to advance sustainable agriculture and natural resource management initiatives. She is currently a director on the board of NRM group Southern Queensland Landscapes and volunteers her time on several local committees and community groups. Pippa is a 2024 Nuffield scholar. Her study topic, “Is measuring carbon on farm good for business?”, saw her travel and learn about global opportunities for farmers to engage in and build carbon literacy. Her research focuses on real-world examples and initiatives where understanding carbon has improved productivity and profitability.
