Karin is a recognised leader in the agriculture and clean energy space. Her international and professional history combines more than two decades of engagement with Governments and communities around contemporary environmental issues.
She lives on a cotton and wheat farm in the Central West NSW and is Director of Farm Renewables Consulting. Karin has co-authored two reports ‘Farm Powered’ commissioned by Farmers for Climate Action, and ‘Pursuing an Agrivoltaics Future in Australia’ in partnership with EnergyCo NSW. She recently co-authored the ‘Agrivoltaics Handbook’ to provide practical guidance to developers and landholders about integrating solar with farming.
Karin is an Agrifuture’s Rural Women’s Award alumni, a Board member for RE Alliance and former member of the NSW Farmers ‘Energy Transition Taskforce.’ In recognition of her work she was listed in the Top 100 Green Energy Players, in The Australian newspaper in 2023 and 2024 and invited to be part of the Sydney Powerhouse’s ‘100 Climate Conversations’ project.
