Melinee Leather is a partner in a family owned and operated sustainable beef business in Central Queensland. Leather Cattle Co (LCC) has a deep sense of responsibility of how they contribute to global food security and climate action. They understand the importance of sustainable beef production to meet the nutritional needs of an increasing population that requires safe and nutritious protein sources whilst focusing on climate solutions through uptake of innovative technologies and practices.
Melinee has worked in the beef industry for over 30 years in partnership with her husband Robert. Their operation includes three properties covering an area of 17 500 ha. They currently run 5 000 head of cattle breeding and finishing cattle for the EU, Grasslands and Wagyu markets.
